1. What are three safety tips you found most surprising? Three safety tips that I found most surprising were that when handling the camera and there is a malfunction to immediately turn off the camera. As well as when using connecting cables you can only use cables provided by or sold by Nikon to maintain the cameras quality. Lastly it surprised me to learn that when batteries are fully discharged they are prone to leakage. 2. Describe where on the camera you found each part: Mode Dial: The mode dial is located on the upper right side of the camera, its a raised circle that spins. On/Off: The toggle that goes around the silver button to the right side of the cameras flash, and has the options written by it "on/off". Shutter Release: Shutter release is the silver button that falls inside the toggle of the on/off switch. By hitting it it takes the pictures. Exposure Compensation: Is the circle button to the right of the shutter release that has a "+" and "-" on the button. Flash Button: The flash button is to the left of the built in flash, and it has a little lightening bolt picture on it. View Finder: Is the hole on the back side of the camera, that you look through when taking pictures. Menu, Multi Selector/Ok: The menu button is to the left side of the monitor screen and is the one that says "menu" on it. Memory Card Slot Cover: Is on the right side of the camera to the right of the multi selector. Battery Cover: Located on the bottom of the camera and to the right side. Tripod Socket: Located on the bottom of the camera and is a circle. 3. What does the A/M button control on the lens? When the camera has the "A" setting turned on it is on auto focus, when it's switched to the "M" setting it is in manual focus. 4. How do you do this: Delete all the images on the camera: View/delete -> delete photos -> delete all photos Set the image quality to JPEG Fine -> Menu -> Setup -> Image Quality -> JPEG Fine Set Image to Large Size: Menu -> shooting menu -> image size -> large Set the Mode Dial to Auto: Turn the Mode dial to option "A" Turn the auto flash off: Press the button with the lightening bolt near the start of the lens. Set exposure compensation to +/-0: Check Battery Charge(If 1 bar or less replace battery: Hit any button to light up the screen or if you look through the eye-hole, it'll show you the camera battery. Set the lens to A: On the left side of the lens there is a switch to change the camera to auto focus, switch the M to the A.
